OHPE Bulletin 258, Volume 2002, No. 258

You will notice that the OHPE is back to its plain text self this week. While many of you appreciated the new look, it made the newsletter completely inaccessible to a surprisingly large number of our subscribers. We are working on improvements to our archive (at that will enable us to add more formatting to the information there -- as well as other new features -- and we will keep you apprised of our progress.

This week we have a feature on health literacy contributed by Michelle Black who writes "Low health literacy is also seen as having broader outcomes for the health system and society as a whole. For example, low literacy can keep people from accessing and using information about their health." Her article outlines the 5 C's that will give you "a better chance of seeing your important health messages reach your readers."
