15 November 2013 - OHPE Bulletin 820, Volume 2013, No. 820

In this week's issue, we have two feature articles. The first, Advancing Population Mental Health, is contributed by Pascale Mantoura of the National Collaborating Centre for Healthy Public Policy. Our second, Telling the Health Equity Story through Population Heath Status Reporting, was submitted by Hannah Moffatt, Lesley Dyck, and Pemma Muzumdar of the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health.

As noted last week, we are planning for our end of year reflections feature. This year, 10 years after SARS, we thought it would be appropriate to ask you to provide your brief insights regarding how the SARS outbreak in Canada in 2003 changed public health.

If you are interested in providing your reflections on the effect SARS had on public health in Canada, including how it affected your work personally or observations from a macro or systems level, we will include it as part of the 2013 OHPE reflections collection which will run at the end of December or in early January.

To contribute, please send your brief submission (150–300 words) to the OHPE features editor at by Monday, December 2, 2013.
