ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training--A two day practice oriented workshop that helps all caregivers learn suicide first aid intervention and prevent the immediate risk of suicide.  The emphasis is on helping a person at risk stay safe and seek further help.
November 20 and 21, 2008, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $175.00, Students: $100.00

ASIST Refresher--If it has been over 2 years since you became ASIST trained then it is time for a Tune-Up.  The refresher is a half day workshop that will help you to refine your skills as a suicide first aid helper.  It will also provide you with the opportunity to reflect on you use of ASIST and clarify any questions you may have around using the Suicide Intervention Model.
October 17, 2008, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Cost: $75.00

Suicide Care--A one-day practice-oriented seminar exploring the challenges for caregivers and the competencies they require for working with persons at risk of suicide.  If you have already taken ASIST within the past year and are currently working with persons at risk beyond first and crisis responses, this workshop is for you.  The seminar will provide you with an understanding of the helper issues associated with supporting persons at risk of suicide in an ongoing management or counseling role.
