Public Health Dietitian, Hastings & Prince Edward Counties Health Unit

Central Hastings in collaboration with Family Health Team Require a Public Health Dietitian - .9 FTE

These two organizations are collaborating in the recruitment of a .9FTE (4 ½ days per week) Dietitian as follows:

Health Unit: .4 FTE (2 days per week, Maternity Leave up to one year)
Central Hastings Family Health Team: .5 FTE (2 1/2 days per week, permanent, with the possibility of full time hours as the team continues to develop)

The incumbent will participate as part of an interdisciplinary team in the planning,
implementation and evaluation of nutrition programs for the prevention and management of diseases.


  • A 4-year Bachelor Degree in Foods and Nutrition + a one year accredited dietetic internship.
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated group facilitation, organization, interpersonal and communication skills. Self directed with ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • A valid driver's license, insurance, use of a vehicle and willingness to travel within district as well as satisfactory police check is required.

Normal Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm - Flexible working hours as required.
