The Casey Awards

Without June Callwood, without her vision, compassion and lifelong advocacy for social justice, Casey House would not exist. The Casey Awards annually recognize a handful of individuals or organizations that have demonstrated the same brand of pioneering leadership and compassionate commitment on behalf of others. Award recipients share June's commitment to volunteerism, collaborative decision making and her steadfast belief in the dignity of every human being. The Casey Awards are national, non-monetary awards, presented annually at SnowBall, a fundraising event benefiting Casey House.

Who is eligible?  Those, whose actions within the fields of HIV/AIDS and or social justice are consistent with the values of June Callwood and Casey House, including

  • Pioneering leadership
  • Compassion
  • Respect for the individual
  • Strong belief in volunteerism

  • A commitment to social justice

Nominate a special individual or organization.  Recognize those who do not seek the limelight but are truly deserving of our respect.
