Youth Advocacy Training Institute Request for Proposal:
Local Training Facilitators for Introductory Level Youth Trainings

The Lung Association's Youth Advocacy Training Institute (YATI) is currently accepting proposals for training facilitators to educate youth on a variety of introductory topics.
All trainings are a minimum of 3 hours in length (including opening remarks, pre-test, post-test & evaluation) and will be offered to groups ranging in size from 8 to 30 participants.
The following is a listing of the training sessions requiring training facilitators
- Creative Ways to Advocate: Educating youth to achieve their advocacy goals through means such as arts, sports, etc.
- Message Development, Communication and Presentation: Supporting learning in areas of writing skills, developing effective, meaningful health promotion and media advocacy messaging.
- Other Chronic Disease Risk Factors: Focusing on the built environment, physical activity and nutrition as it relates to young people and their health and development.
- Cultural Context of Tobacco and the Tobacco Industry: Exploring how culture influences tobacco industry tactics, prevalence, and tobacco control.
