Shaping Ontario's Health System
The Central West LHIN is seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic professional who will lead the combined functions of communications and community engagement.
The Central West LHIN engages local health service providers, community organizations and residents, in order to gather input and feedback as it plans, manages, and funds a better integrated system of health services.
The LHIN communicates its activities across the many stakeholders of health services, including the public, as well as with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and local, regional and provincial government officials.
The Director, Communications and Community Engagement will play an important role in establishing and implementing the LHIN's goals and plans in the Central West LHIN's fast growing and diverse communities.
The Director will lead community engagement and communications initiatives so that there is a better understanding in the community of the LHIN's role, plans, and priorities. This will be accomplished through the development of effective public relations, media relations, community outreach, and communications strategies that incorporate best practices and strong evaluation techniques.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player, with educational and professional credentials in communications, community engagement, public relations, or a similar field, coupled with at least five plus years' successful experience, and knowledge of the Ontario health system.
You will possess superior interpersonal, project management, and communication (verbal and written) skills. Proficiency in French is an asset.
