Students 17-26 entering first or second year of a university or college in Toronto - and who are protected persons or landed immigrants who were protected persons - are invited to apply for financial and social support through this program. For the 2009 - 2010 academic year, Maytree will offer two separate programs: Maytree Scholarship Program and Maytree Awards Program. Both programs are designed for students with a sense of civic responsibility combined with a successful academic, work and/or service record. The Awards Program provides financial support to a maximum of ten eligible candidates. The Scholarship Program covers tuition, books, transportation, rent and a living allowance, and it includes monthly meetings for a maximum of eight students.
