On the Frontlines

Family Matters Learning Institute

Families are defined by caring relationships between people with mental illness, their relatives, friends, and others in a supportive capacity. On the Frontlines Family Matters 2009

  • Provides families with a unique opportunity to learn from each
other and from well-known and respected family members and health care
professionals presenting Keynote Addresses and Plenary Sessions.
  • Clearly and powerfully focuses attention on families - their role
and impact on the treatment and recovery of individuals with mental
    illness and/or addiction.
  • Will enable families from across the province - who would otherwise not be able to access such an opportunity - to interact with others facing similar challenges.
  • Engages participants in the on-going process of developing and building family resources and developing support networks.
