The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario is gravely concerned about the growing rates of childhood obesity and its impact on the current and future health of Ontario's children. We are investing in Spark Together for Healthy Kids, an Ontario-wide initiative to inspire individuals, families, communities, businesses, industry and government to spark collective change - in how we live, how we act, and how we think − to ignite a brighter future for our children.
The Community Advocacy Fund is a grants competition that helps groups begin to spark action in their communities. It provides financial support to implement advocacy initiatives that seek to increase access to physical activity and/or healthy food for children across Ontario. The goal of the fund is to ignite and catalyze change within Ontario's diverse communities.
If you would like to know more about the Community Advocacy Fund, please register for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario's webcast on Friday, April 3rd at 1:15pm EST. The webcast is an opportunity to learn more about the Community Advocacy Fund grants competition, and to see examples of how advocacy can affect change to address childhood obesity in Ontario.
