Community Worker, London InterCommunity Health Centre

You are a creative, dynamic individual committed to community engagement and outreach strategies intended to increase the capacity of women and their families, strengthen neighbourhoods, and develop community leadership. You have experience in the areas of program planning, evaluation, group facilitation and community resources and supports. In previous roles you have worked with women from diverse cultural backgrounds with a variety of skills, needs and strengths.

We are a well-established community health centre offering inclusive health and social services to many individuals and families in East and North East London.  Our vision is to build opportunities for healthy and inclusive communities. We currently seek a part-time (18.75 hours a week) Community Worker who will support vulnerable women in North East London through our new "Women Creating Communities" program.

Within this role you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the development, delivery, and evaluation of this community-based program within a social determinants of health framework.  You can demonstrate an awareness of the effect that oppression, barriers, poverty and racism have on women, their families and their community.
