Project Research Coordinator and Researcher (2 Positions), South Riverdale Community Health Centre

Both Positions Full Time for 10 Months

South Riverdale Community Health Centre (SRCHC) is a non-profit, multiservice centre that provides primary health care, social and community outreach services with an emphasis on health promotion to residents of Riverdale and South East Toronto.  

SRCHC is hiring a Project Research Coordinator and a Researcher.  These are full-time contract position to work 5 days per week for June 2009, and will be based at SRCHC in partnership with Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto Public Health, Cancer Care Ontario, Canadian Cancer Society, Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre, Centre for Independent Living, and The Korean Canadian Women's Association.  Funding is provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada through its Cancer Program.

The Project objective is to identify the best practices to engage seldom or never screened women in increasing breast, cervical and colorectal cancer awareness. It seeks to identify, compile and improve cancer screening outcomes as well as provide a national opportunity for knowledge transfer.
