New Resource – User-friendly Educational Guides for Seniors and their Families, Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health

The Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health (CCSMH) is pleased to announce the launch its latest resource - the CCSMH series of User-friendly Educational Guides for Seniors and their Families (funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada).

The CCSMH wants all older adults – and their family members – to have high-quality information about specific health issues that might affect them: depression, suicide risk, delirium, and mental health issues in long-term care homes. We believe that, with this information, older adults will be empowered to make informed decisions about their health care and build effective relationships with health care providers.

Booklets are available in English and French and can be downloaded free of charge at www.ccsmh.ca (http://www.ccsmh.ca/en/booklet/index.cfm).

If you prefer hard copies of the booklet or need multiple copies for your organization to share with seniors and their family members, contact Sherri Helsdingen, Project Manager, shelsdingen@baycrest.org (416-785-2500 ext. 6331).
