RFP--Research Consultant, The Canadian Paediatric Society

Toronto, Ontario
Deadline October 13, 2009

The Canadian Paediatric Society is inviting proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a needs assessment of health care professionals and others providing service to children and youth new to Canada. The needs assessment will inform planning and development of a new edition of the publication: Children and Youth New to Canada: A Health Care Guide.

The needs assessment will assist with decisions related to format, content, development and marketing, with a primary focus on content. It will help the CPS develop this important resource to assist health care and other professionals who care for immigrant, refugee and internationally-adopted children and youth and their families, enabling them in their efforts to identify and address the myriad issues faced by new Canadians.

Specifically, the successful consultant would be required to:

  • Design a process, survey instrument(s) and other tools necessary to carry out the needs assessment.
  • Conduct the needs assessment (e.g. administer surveys, hold interviews and focus groups, gather and analyze data, etc).
  • Write a report that summarizes the outcomes of the needs assessment and provides recommendations as to the format, content, structure and marketing of the Guide.

A detailed Request for Proposal can be obtained at: http://www.cps.ca/english/HealthCareGuide.htm.

Only those submissions which follow the requirements of the RFP will be considered.

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, October 13, 2009.
