As a member of Employee Health Services, you will provide develop, lead and coordinate the health education and promotion programs for McMaster employees. This position serves as the key program development support for the Healthy Workplace Group. You will identify critical health issues affecting University employees through literature review, and develop programming and workshops on these topics. You will liaise with internal resources including our Occupational Health Nurse, Campus Health, local community service agencies and other contacts on all health education and promotion issues. In addition, you will represent the Healthy Workplace Group at events on and off campus and coordinate monthly events on behalf of the Healthy Workplace Group, including organizing speakers, promotional material and other logistics.
This key position calls for a strong communicator and facilitator who is able to work independently and collaboratively with others and has exceptional organization, and problem-solving skills. Your degree in a related discipline (Human Resources, Kinesiology, or Behavioral Sciences) is complemented by your extensive knowledge of health education and promotion, including program development, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 4:30 (28 hours per week)
