The Central East LHIN is one of 14 Local Health Integration Networks that have been established by the Government of Ontario as community-based organizations to plan, co-ordinate, integrate and fund health care services at the local level including hospitals, long-term care homes, community care access centres, community support services, community mental health and addictions services and community health centres.
In this exciting position you will assist the Central East Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) in collaboration with the French Language Health Services (FLHS) Office of the MOHLTC to improve the health status of the Francophone community by developing mechanisms to ensure the integration of French Language Services (FLS) in the health care system.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Planning, Integration & Community Engagement and to the FLS Provincial Coordinator, you will provide planning, integration and community engagement expertise and support regarding the development, implementation and integration of French Language Services. In addition, you will assist in identifying the needs of the francophone community, solicit feedback and participation from stakeholders and promote positive relationships.
Qualifications: oral and written proficiency in English and French; knowledge of the FLSA and LHSIA; experience and knowledge in stakeholder management and community engagement principles and techniques; in-depth knowledge of needs and concerns of the Francophone community in Ontario; demonstrated consultation and negotiation skills in dealing with diverse stakeholders; project management and facilitation experience; and, strong communication and relationship management skills.
