Immediate Position Opening:

Project Manager at the senior professional level for a 5-year NIH-funded community-based participatory research project in the Dominican Republic (DR). The project includes qualitative and quantitative community assessments, a smoking cessation/secondhand smoke reduction trial across 8 economically disadvantaged communities, and infrastructure development for sustainability.

Project Manager will direct the development, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of this large research project, and will coordinate and maintain communication between US and DR team members to ensure that project goals are met.

High level skills required in organization, management, and professional interactions with staff at all levels in US and DR. Must work well as part of a team and independently.

Position includes significant time on site in the DR for project activities.

Minimum requirements include major coursework in appropriate health, social science, public health, or related field with significant research training, 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters level or recent Ph.D. Must have solid computer skills with knowledge of word processing, database utilities, internet navigation, email, and statistical programs. Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written skills in both. Must have current valid US passport.
