We seek an experienced leader to provide strategic direction and leadership for the development, communication, adoption and evaluation of public health programs in Ontario. Your responsibilities will include: the continued development of a strategic framework for the delivery of public health services; leadership of initiatives to improve evidence-based decision-making in public health; management of emerging public health issues; application of new public health science trends and developments; and the development and maintenance of relationships with key health system partners. Qualifications: demonstrated leadership experience in the public health system; exemplary track record leading the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs and standards; excellent stakeholder consultation and management skills, to foster partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders and to achieve results in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment; excellent issues management skills and political acuity, to anticipate and respond to sensitive issues; knowledge of, and experience with research methodologies and evidence-based decision-making; experience leading people and leading change, including the improvement of policy and/or program capacity.
