The strategic initiatives branch of the Ministry of Health Promotion is responsible for the management of major ministry projects that contribute to the government’s strategic directions and provincial priorities for health promotion in Ontario. If you are a committed team player with strong research and analytical skills, then join this newly created branch in one of these two opportunities, and support the conceptualization, development and evaluation of health promotion program frameworks, evaluations and program design and implementation strategies. As part of project teams, you will participate in ministry strategic initiatives, and provide solid research and analysis of health promotion programs, trends and issues. You will use strong project management skills to support project teams, senior management and partners involved in the ministry’s strategic directions.
One position is permanent; one is a contract of up to 12 months

Qualifications: proven knowledge and understanding of policy development and program design processes; excellent research skills to conduct the research, monitoring, analysis and assessment of health promotion programs, issues and trends; proven relationship management and partnership-building skills to enable cooperative working relationships, both within and outside the ministry; strong project management skills; excellent communication and presentation skills to synthesize, prepare and present research results and analysis, policy and financial submissions.
Salary range: $64,664 - $80,596
