The Canadian Cancer Society – Supporting Ontarians to quit smoking and tobacco use

Because tobacco control is a top priority, CCS offers a variety of supports to help Ontarians to quit smoking and tobacco use:

  • Smokers’ Helpline at 1 877 513-5333 – a confidential, toll free service providing personalized information, support and advice about quitting smoking and tobacco use
  • Smokers’ Helpline Online, http://www.smokershelpline.ca - an interactive web-based program offering tips and tools to assist users on their smoke-free journey, available 24 hours/day seven days a week
  • Smokers’ Helpline Text Messaging (TXT) - a text messaging service that offers support, advice and information to smokers and tobacco users who are looking to quit, via their mobile device
  • One Step at a Time materials (OSAAT) - our leading self-help program for smokers and people who want to help someone quit smoking

All of Smokers’ Helpline services are available in both English and French. Interpreter service is offered by phone in over 100 languages.
