Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, CDEPO Program, and in collaboration with the Clinical Specialist, the CDEPO Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the CDEPO Education Team, which include nurses and dietitians.  The incumbent will be responsible for supervising these staff at CCHC’s main office and at off-site locations.  The Program Manager conducts and/or facilitates the planning, development and implementation and evaluation of program activities in consultation with the Director, CDEPO.


  • Masters degree in health, public or business administration or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of three years management experience, preferably within a multidisciplinary team in ahealth care setting
  • Sound knowledge of general management principles, including financial and human resource management
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
  • Strong critical analysis, problem solving, planning, decision-making, leadership, organizational and change management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong promoter and enhancer of teamwork
  • Familiarity with management information/client tracking systems
  • Demonstrated ability to model “client centred” service delivery
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and email software


  • Knowledge of/experience with chronic disease management, particularly diabetes
  • Knowledge of adult education and self-management principles

Language designation:

  • English, written and spoken
  • French, written and spoken

Start date: February 2011
Salary range: $68,873-$82,980/year, Excellent benefits package including Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan
