The Program Training and Consultation Centre (PTCC), in collaboration with The Health Communication Unit (THCU), would like to invite you to an online introductory training session on Program Evaluation for Community-based Tobacco Control.
Public health practitioners working on Comprehensive Tobacco Control (CTC) will gain knowledge and develop skills to support program evaluation for CTC.
Special guest speaker, Robb MacDonald, Consultant for The Health Communication Unit (THCU), has a Master's degree in Physical Education and 15 years of consulting experience with the not-for-profit and public sectors. Robb has worked extensively with the health, literacy, environmental and employment fields, assisting regional, provincial and national organizations develop, implement and evaluate their communication and social marketing programs.
Introduction to Program Evaluation for Community-based Tobacco Control: Part 1 is an online training session that will be held on January 27, 2011, 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
Webinar details include:
* Orientation to the 10 step THCU evaluation model, such as conceptualizing a program, setting objectives and relevant indicators and selecting the appropriate program evaluation type.
* Focussing on content featuring tobacco-relevant examples.
* Providing an overview of the Program Evaluation for Community-based Tobacco Control: Part 2, an in-person workshop.
