The Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA) warmly invites you or someone you know to submit nominations for outstanding African-Canadian individuals who have made a positive impact on our youth and community.
The 29th Annual BBPA Harry Jerome Awards will be taking place on Saturday, April 30th, 2011 at the Toronto Congress Centre in Ontario, Canada. The BBPA Harry Jerome Awards receives about 200 entries every year from all over Canada and is recognized as Canada's most prestigious event, celebrating outstanding achievement within the African-Canadian Community. If you or someone you know has exhibited outstanding achievements in one or more of the categories listed below, we encourage you to apply for a Harry Jerome Award. The awards categories include:
- Academics - Age 16-24
- Arts, Media & Entertainment - Any Age
- Athletics - Age 16-24
- Business - 24 and older
- Community Service - Any Age
- Health Sciences - Any Age
- Leadership - Age 16-24
- Professional Excellence - 24 and older
- Technology & Innovation - 24 and older
- Young Entrepreneur - Age 18-35
When submitting the required four (4) hard copies of your nomination package, please ensure you or the person you are nominating meets all the stated requirements which can be found in the nomination information form at http://www.bbpa.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=91:call....
Nomination packages will not be accepted by fax or e-mail; however, photographs and biographies should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send completed packages to the following address:
