Program Administrative Assistant, Middlesex-London Health Unit

Part-time, 14 hours per week

The Middlesex-London Health Unit has an opportunity for a part-time Program Administrative Assistant to work in the Let’s Grow Program, on the Tyke Talk, Infant Hearing, and Blind-Low Vision Team, within Family Health Services.  

The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties, such as:

  • scheduling appointments and meetings, answering telephone, keying documents and reports, and handling mail
  • assisting in the planning of conferences and making travel arrangements
  • dealing with inquiries from the Public
  • maintaining databases and checklists, running routine reports, filing, and other record keeping
  • may be required to key statistical information on specific software programs
  • preparing manuals and other documents
  • other duties as assigned

Graduation from Secondary School with an additional year of secretarial / administrative studies is required.  Must be proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy and speed, along with advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office. Position requires considerable physical demands involving packing, moving of boxes, and high volume photocopying. Candidates will have very good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.  Flexible work hours are required. 

The ability to communicate in French or other languages would be considered an asset.
