Eligibility:

  • Graduate-prepared (minimum completed masters degree) in health science-related disciplines
  • Focus on community health research
  • Interest in international collaboration
  • Committed to long-term research engagement and providing tangible benefits to home community or institution

Program Dates for 2011:

  • July 6-29: Full-time on site program in Potchefstroom, South Africa at the North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus)
  • August 15-17: In home country – part-time by distance education (approx. 2 hours per day)

Program Fee:

  • African colleagues (half package – subsidized): ZAR 12,500 (includes: lunch, refreshments, airport shuttle, all sessions, course materials, and distance education)
  • African Colleagues (full package – subsidized): ZAR 18,000 (includes: accommodation, lunch, dinner, refreshments, airport shuttle, all sessions, course materials, and distance education)
  • Other countries (full packages): USD $2,800 (includes: accommodation, lunch, dinner, refreshments, airport shuttle, all sessions, course materials, and distance education)
  • Please note: Travel costs (flights and personal travel) and weekend catering (lunch and dinner) are not included in the program fee.
