As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will: assist in the planning of assigned programs and projects and actively participate in the delivery of activities in various community settings, e.g., conduct presentations and train-the-trainer activities; provide input into the production of health information resources, i.e., newsletters, brochures, displays; participate in the co-ordination of community initiatives such as workshops, information and evaluation sessions. You will work collaboratively with community partners, schools and workplaces and participate on community committees as appropriate.
Education and Experience: a Baccalaureate degree in health promotion, or a related discipline, knowledge and experience in the areas of chronic disease prevention is an asset, knowledge in social marketing, community development and mass media campaigns and application of health promotion theory. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills; group facilitation skills; advanced computer skills, and a current Ontario driver’s license and use of a vehicle.
Salary range: $26.19 - $30.83 per hour, 70 hours in a two week period, plus a comprehensive benefit and vacation package, in accordance with the ONA Allied collective agreement.
