In this presentation, sponsored by The Lung Association, Dr. Hovell will provide an overview of his research, how it relates to public policy and programs promoting smoke-free homes and vehicles, and implications for research and policy initiatives in Canada.
                 
Dr. Melbourne Hovell (Director, Center for Behavioral Epidemiology and Community Health, University Distinguished Professor of Public Health, Graduate School of Public Health, San Diego State University)
is an internationally known leader in research in behavioral epidemiology and the prevention of chronic disease.  One of his current areas of interest and expertise focuses on second- and third-hand smoke exposure and smoke-free homes and vehicles.
