Assignments on Home Visiting Team and on Infantline
Home Visiting Team
The Middlesex-London Health Unit is currently seeking nurses who are primarily interested in Home Visiting. Successful candidates for the Home Visiting Team must be available during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and be available to work 35 hours per week during July and August.
Preferred qualifications include: experience with high-risk home visiting and working with vulnerable families, knowledge of prenatal and postnatal assessment and follow-up, and experience working with multiple community agencies and multicultural populations.
Infantline, Young Families Team
The Infantline is an after-hours call in line for mothers with infants from 0 -12 months of age. Hours of operation are: evenings from 4:30 – 10:00 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., with nurses working on an on-call basis. Successful candidates will have reproductive health knowledge and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience and strong interest in Maternal/Newborn health would be an asset.
Along with these assignments, successful candidates may also work in other areas of the Health Unit.
For both of these assignments, candidates must have a B.Sc.N. and current CNO certification. Candidates must also have good computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office applications, internet, and e-mail. A valid Ontario driver’s licence and use of a vehicle is required. The ability to communicate in French and other languages would be considered an asset.
