New Resources and Request for Input--Library of Sample Program Plans & Evaluation

Deadline March 25, 2011

As a health promoter you know how important evaluation is in program development and continuous improvement. And now THCU is asking for your help with our evaluation of our sample plans--so we can continue to serve you better!

If you have reviewed any of the Sample Program Plans please take a bit of time to complete our evaluation survey:  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/OHPPSamplesEval_OHPE2011 (Survey deadline is Friday March 25).

If you have not yet reviewed any of the Sample Program Plans – they are NEW and a great resource. Please take some time to review the library at http://www.thcu.ca/ohpp/plan_library.cfm (and then complete our evaluation please!)

What is the value of the plans?

If you are interested in seeing some sample program plans that are based on the Ontario Public Health Standards and Guidance Documents, the Sample Plan Library will be a valuable resource for you!

The sample plans can be viewed as well as imported into the Ontario Health Program Planner for you to duplicate and modify. The sample plans are designed to be a starting point for public health practitioners working on similar topics, or with similar audiences. By importing a sample plan into your OHPP account, you can save time, and develop a more comprehensive, evidence-based plan for your own community. Complete with:

  • Sources of evidence
  • Situational assessment results
  • Objectives
  • Indicators of success
  • A logic model
  • And more!

The programs in the sample plan library are recommended in the Guidance Documents. Topics covered now include Prevention of Injury, Reproductive Health, and School Health. Coming soon: Child Health, Tobacco, Alcohol and Nutrition related topics.

Visit the sample plan library at: http://www.thcu.ca/ohpp/plan_library.cfm.
