Evaluating Canada’s Prenatal Multiple-Birth Courses, Multiple Births Canada

Since 1978 Multiple Births Canada (MBC) has provided support, education, research, and advocacy to individuals, families, groups, and organizations with a personal or professional interest in multiple birth issues.
This year for National Multiple Births Awareness Day 2011, MBC has chosen this theme “Prenatal education and professional support must reflect the unique needs of Canada's multiple-birth community”.

As part of the awareness campaign, a survey assessing the course design and content of Canada’s Prenatal Multiple-Birth Courses is being administered by Multiple Births Canada (MBC).

In addition to benchmarking courses currently being offered in Canada, MBC plans to update its website page listing prenatal multiple-birth courses offered by Canadian health agencies, professionals, and individuals.  In doing so, MBC hopes it will also draw attention to the geographic areas lacking this important educational resource and encourage professionals in these communities to offer a prenatal multiple-birth specific course.

MBC is encouraging all health care prenatal educators to complete the survey and/or share this link with their staff and partners: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/32YKFDV.
