KFL&A Public Health, an accredited local public health agency affiliated with Queen’s University, serves to promote and protect the health of the more than 180,000 residents of Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington area. There is an immediate opening for a casual Public Health Nurse in the Infectious Disease Prevention & Environmental Health Division – Vaccine Preventable Disease Team.
The Public Health Nurse will promote and protect the health and well-being of individuals and communities, in multiple sites such as homes, schools, and workplaces. The Public Health Nurse will use evidence based practice to inform health policies and programs, and to implement Ontario Public Health Standards and protocols.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in nursing which includes public health nursing preparation, be eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, have recent venipuncture experience and be proficient at administering intramuscular and subcutaneous injections to clients of all ages in an empathetic and caring manner.
