Peer Leader Training Opportunity, Stanford Chronic Disease Self Management Program

Mississauga, Ontario
September and October, 2011

As part of the Mississauga Halton DRCC Self Management Strategy we are pleased to be offering Stanford Leader Certification training. All training and course materials are offered at no cost to your organization.

During this 4 day training program leaders will learn the skills required to facilitate a "Maximize your Health" workshop in the community to individuals living with a Chronic Condition. Groups meet once a week for 2.5 hours over 6 weeks.

Self Management workshops teach the skills that will empower participants to realize their best health and wellness. Topics include: goal setting, problem solving, healthy eating and exercise, managing pain and fatigue, communication skills and more.

We ask certified leaders to commit to deliver "Maximize Your Health" programs over the next year in the community.
