Pay rate: Negotiable based on experience (range $28-35 per hour)

Description: We are seeking a research coordinator. The position entails coordinating the day-to-day operations of a three-year research study.

Responsibilities include: ensure data collection is performed at appropriate time intervals (patient chart extractions, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires); enter and verify data entry into SPSS (data management); clean and prepare data for analysis; transcribe interviews and field notes; organize, record and transcribe debriefing sessions; organize quarterly progress meetings; liaison with research team members, healthcare professionals and primary care sites; and assist with the preparation of conference presentations, reports, and peer review manuscripts.

Requirements:  A Master's or PhD degree.

Assets: Having research & interviewing experience; being a diabetes educator (clinical nurse or dietitian); experience with SPSS.

The successful applicant should be interested in health research; fluent in English, have demonstrated excellent writing skills; work independently; able to manage many task at once; be able to remain calm under pressure; and meet deadlines while paying meticulous attention to detail.
