Located in Guelph, Ontario the Ontario Problem Gambling Research Centre (OPGRC) is committed to “enhance [the] understanding of problem gambling, and strengthen treatment and prevention practice through research." Beyond this, the Centre’s role is to fund problem gambling research in Ontario, translate knowledge and increase the capacity of Ontario to conduct research on problem gambling. Prime Management Group Inc. and the Ontario Problem Gambling Research Centre, a not-for-profit organization, have partnered to seek a Chief Executive Officer for the OPGRC.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) you will be responsible for leading a provincial organization with a successful past as well as a promising future. If you have experience or a deep interest in addiction/problem gambling and related research this could be a role suited for you.
As an accomplished business leader and excellent communicator, you will have responsibility for the management of the day-to-day operations of the OPGRC.  As an effective leader, and strategic thinker, you have the skills to execute the vision of the Board and to guide staff. Experience in working with a policy governance model is a desirable asset. Experience in change management and culture change to move an organization forward is also desirable.

You have exceptional people skills and an outstanding level of integrity that will enable you to quickly gain the trust and respect of Board members, staff and external stakeholders. As the face of the OPGRC in the community, you must have an ability to build strategic partnerships at the provincial, national and international level and navigate in a complex political environment. Your change management, creative thinking and diplomacy skills will be crucial attributes to your success. Having had previous fiscal accountability and budget management experience are essential in this role. French language capability would be an asset.

Your qualifications include a post graduate degree in a relevant field with a demonstrated commitment to life-long learning coupled with solid senior management experience in a business or not-for-profit environment.
