Health Promoter, KFL&A Public Health

KFL&A Public Health, an accredited local public health agency affiliated with Queen’s University, serves to promote and protect the health of the more than 180,000 residents of Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington area. The Dental Health Team has an immediate opening for a Health Promoter. The Health Promoter will assess the need for health promotion, plan health promotion activities, and provide direct health promotion services in accordance with the Ontario Public Health Standards.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Health Sciences or equivalent with major course work in the following areas: Health Promotion principles including community development and social marketing, program planning and program evaluation, epidemiology and behavioural psychology. Experience in Health Promotion is also required.
