The Champlain Local Health Integration Network (Champlain LHIN) is one of the best regional health services organizations in Canada and a key partner in delivering effective patient and family-centred care to residents of Eastern Ontario. In the years ahead, the Champlain LHIN will play an important role in the region, bringing providers together, building solid primary health services and customizing community services to meet the needs of the region’s growing and diverse communities.

As Chief Executive Officer, you will engage and work closely with a dedicated Board of Directors and provide strategic and operational leadership to the Champlain LHIN’s skilled and experienced staff.  Across the region, you will actively engage all stakeholders and partners in an effort to create a truly coordinated, integrated, and accountable health system.  A key public face and voice, you will develop relations with community leaders, advocacy groups, service providers, the academic and research communities, as well as the media and the general public.  You will also play a central role in the health care debate, working closely with government officials and local community and political leaders at all levels to find solutions that deliver on a compelling and bold vision of truly integrated care.

As the ideal candidate, you are a passionate and persuasive communicator in both French and English and are skilled at engaging and inspiring volunteers and staff at all levels.  Partners and stakeholders with whom you have worked have appreciated your collaborative, consultative and trusting nature and your ability to achieve consensus within groups of diverse interests.  A transformative leader, you have a bias to action and excel in environments that are undergoing significant change. You display great comfort, diplomacy and tact in a multi-stakeholder milieu and bring a well-rounded understanding of the health and social systems at the local, provincial and national levels.  Over the course of your career, you have built your credibility on a foundation of trust, impeccable integrity, hard work and a strong belief in community and the value of public engagement.
