The Prevention Program is being established to provide high quality cancer-related prevention advice and supporting tools for Ontarians that are equitable, evidence-based and effective in changing behaviours. The Program provides tools, evidence and measurement expertise to increase uptake of evidence-based prevention initiatives by individuals, health care providers, government, etc. and to monitor progress towards cancer prevention at the population level.
The Manager will oversee and further develop prevention strategy, initiatives and infrastructure, and provide leadership for the monitoring of jurisdictional, policy, program and individual behavioural data; assess progress toward prevention recommendations; and prepare evidence-based materials to support prevention activities. The Manager will also provide leadership for several existing prevention initiatives at varying stages of development.
