Duration: approximately thirteen (13) months

Reporting to the Manager in the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDIP) Division, you will consult and provide strategic assistance, research, and policy support to the division, specifically in regards to the Living Tobacco Free Strategic Priority. You will utilize evidence informed decision making methodology and the public health core competencies framework in your work. You will proactively identify policy and program issues/gaps/trends and provide research, data analysis, critical analysis and make recommendations related to evidence-informed practice. You will prepare briefings, options papers, scoping reviews and conduct rapid reviews to support decision making in policy and program development. You will be responsible for various aspects of policy and procedure development, including monitoring/evaluating the local implications of provincial and federal health policy decisions.
