Wage/Salary: $54,108.60 - $61, 497.80 per annum/$29.73 - $33.79 per hour
Consider this opportunity to ensure current epidemiological information is readily available for Public Health planning and surveillance initiatives by extracting, manipulating, analyzing and interpreting health related data and providing analytic support to team projects for the benefit of the Public Health Department, other Regional departments and community partners.
You must have a thorough knowledge of data analysis and management; normally acquired through the attainment of a Master’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science or health informatics, or equivalent combination of education and experience such as a Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 2 years of related experience in data analysis and management. In addition, you have the ability to extract, collate, analyze and interpret health data, and use reasoning and problem-solving skills to identify data quality and software issues and develops recommend solutions. As a detail-oriented professional, you demonstrate skill in database development, management, analysis, verification, and quality control procedures. An in-depth knowledge of Excel, and other statistical packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS, EpiData, Access) as well as skill in GIS mapping and spatial statistical software is required. You must also possess the ability to travel to various regional locations.
