The Waterloo Wellington LHIN is dedicated to leading a high quality integrated health system for our residents. The Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) of Ontario were established to better plan, fund, and integrate health services at the local level.

You will bring your research and planning skills to this position as you assist in the development of local health-care system plans and strategies. As the Senior Planner, you will use multiple planning approaches, data analysis techniques and assessment methodologies to recommend initiatives that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Waterloo Wellington healthcare system.
In this role, you will be a technical expert in the gathering and analysis of information about the quality of care in the Waterloo Wellington health system. You will use that information to identify trends in health care needs, emerging gaps in services or performance inconsistencies. You will bring forward your findings with recommendations for action in the form of documents that present technical and complex results in a way that is suitable for decision-making.
Qualifications: With a post-secondary or Masters’ degree in a relevant discipline, you will have an expert knowledge of business intelligence tools and decision support systems. You will be familiar with health system databases, statistical interpretation, assessment methodologies, environmental scanning and demographic analysis. You will have expertise in synthesizing multiple data sources to enhance your research and in developing meaningful performance indicators which can be measured and tracked. You will also be able to juggle multiple concurrent projects and priorities and communicate effectively both externally with partners and stakeholders and internally at all levels within the organization.
