In this 4th Annual CME event, participants will be provided with up to date, evidence-based information on key topics in primary elder care. Talks will offer broad appeal to family physicians and inter-professional care teams in primary care and long term care, with a focus on improving practice and inter-professional collaboration in these settings.
Recent recommendations on both Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia Care will be presented, along with practical approaches to Assessing Medical Fitness to Drive in elderly patients and Common Infectious Disease Challenges in Long Term Care. A session on “Key Articles in Elder Care” will help to direct attendees to important articles published in the past year in various fields of elder care. The day will once again begin and end with thought provoking talks on broad issues in elder care, from leading experts in Canada.
