Health Equity Impact Assessment Online Course and Community of Interest, CAMH

Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA) is a practical decision-support tool developed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) to advance health equity and reduce avoidable health disparities between population groups. In partnership with the MOHLTC, CAMH has developed a free self-directed interactive E-learning course on HEIA available at http://knowledgex.camh.net/health_equity/Pages/healthEquityImpactAssessment(HEIA)OnlineCourse.aspx.

The HEIA course will be of interest to those involved in planning, policy, program or proposal development and who will use the Ontario HEIA tool to integrate equity considerations into new initiatives and more detailed planning.

To support the implementation of HEIA and encourage sharing of the results of HEIA application, CAMH and MOHLTC host an online HEIA Community of Interest.

For more information or to join the HEIA Community of Interest, go to http://knowledgex.camh.net/health_equity/Pages/HEIACoI.aspx.
