Position Summary

Prevention is part of the Prevention & Surveillance Unit within the Prevention and Cancer Control (P&CC) Portfolio at Cancer Care Ontario (CCO). P&CC brings together cancer prevention, screening, surveillance and research into a single organizational entity.  The Prevention program serves to provide high quality cancer-related prevention advice and supporting tools for Ontarians that are equitable, evidence-based and effective in changing behaviours. It provides tools, evidence and measurement expertise to increase uptake of evidence-based prevention initiatives by individuals, health care providers, government, etc. and to monitor progress towards cancer prevention at the population level.

The Senior Analyst will provide expert analytical support to the Senior Manager Prevention. This work will aid Prevention in developing communication approaches, projects and strategies.  The Senior Analyst will also take a lead role in specific prevention projects and information management and analysis, in addition to carrying out other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.  These projects include the development of an online cancer risk assessment tool.
