Prevention is part of the Prevention & Surveillance Unit within the Prevention and Cancer Control (P&CC) Portfolio at Cancer Care Ontario (CCO). P&CC brings together cancer prevention, screening, surveillance and research into a single organizational entity. The Prevention program serves to provide high quality cancer-related prevention advice and supporting tools for Ontarians that are equitable, evidence-based and effective in changing behaviours. It provides tools, evidence and measurement expertise to increase uptake of evidence-based prevention initiatives by individuals, health care providers, government, etc. and to monitor progress towards cancer prevention at the population level.
The Analyst will provide expert analytical support to the Manager, Prevention Policy & Stakeholder Engagement. This work will aid Prevention in developing its stakeholder engagement plan to contribute to the development of the cancer and chronic disease prevention strategy. The Analyst will also conduct analyses in specific prevention projects, which also form part CCO’s Prevention Program, and carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
