The Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Division requires a creative, self-starting and persuasive leader with experience in developing and evaluating health promotion initiatives and programs. The individual works in a self-directed manner within a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. You will be responsible for program planning and evaluation; analyzing and interpreting data for evaluation purposes and will prepare and submit reports as needed. You will be required to conduct internet searches for research purposes; provide recommendations based on the best available evidence found. You will also be responsible for supporting the school health teams using the Healthy Schools Approach. With your strong analytical and critical thinking skills you will proactively identify emerging trends and issues in the school community and provide evidence informed analysis, briefings and recommendations to influence strategic initiatives and policy development. You will be required to utilize evidence informed decision making methodology and the Public Health Core Competencies framework.
