Position Summary:

A Prevention Program is being established at Cancer Care Ontario to provide high quality cancer-related prevention advice and supporting tools for Ontarians that are equitable, evidence-based and effective in changing behaviours. The Program provides tools, evidence and measurement expertise to increase uptake of evidence-based prevention initiatives by individuals, health care providers, government, etc. and to monitor progress towards cancer prevention at the population level.

The Project Coordinator will support a key prevention-related initiative – the Online Cancer Risk Assessment Tool.  This role is a short-term contract role with the possibility of extension pending future funding.  The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Project Manager (PM), Online Cancer Risk Assessment Tool.

The Project Coordinator will assist the project team with a variety of organizational, tracking and administrative tasks and initiatives.  The Project Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Senior PM to institute best-practice guidelines, processes, tools and templates for project planning, execution and transition ensuring compliance to required standards, language, and style for their project(s). S/he will also be responsible for drafting and editing a variety of communications, presentations, process/work flows and other project/team support materials. To facilitate the development of these materials, the Project Coordinator must have exemplary written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and tracking skills to ensure that team requests are appropriately prioritized and meet the departmental and corporate needs.
