Forum - Genetically Modified Food: A Field of Dreams

7:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Admission is free. Location 27 Front Street East, Toronto.

About 60% of processed food in Canadian grocery stores contain genetically modified (GM) ingredients. While food producers have embraced the new technology, consumers are more sceptical. Should all GM food be labeled? By growing new varieties of canola, soy and corn, can farmers increase yields and help keep food prices down? What are the potential impacts of GM food on human health and ecosystems?
