The Vaccine Management and Physician Information Team requires a self-directed and enthusiastic individual to work in a collaborative team environment to deliver services in accordance with the Ontario Public Health Standards.  This involves implementing Ministry of Health Storage and Handling protocol related to publicly funded vaccines, developing and maintaining linkages with other health professionals and agencies (e.g. physicians, local hospitals, schools, long term care centres and community health agencies and implementing quality assurance strategies to ensure efficient, effective vaccine management service.

Examples of job activities may include providing education and support to Regional clients on vaccine management and cold chain protocol, investigating vaccine cold chain failures at physician’s offices and other community sites and providing presentations to health care facilities and developing health promotion materials to support education strategies.
