The annual conference of Ontario's District Health Councils takes place, ironically enough, at the same time/dates as the Ontario Public Health Association Conference. (which is in Barrie); and the Ontario Hospital Association convention (which is in Toronto).
The Action Centre '98 conference agenda is, as usual, packed with interesting sessions and keynotes. Keynotes are by the Minister of Health, the Minister of Long Term Care, the Deputy Minister of Health, and Dr. Fraser Mustard of the Founder's Network. Sessions include: Key Issues Identification; Powerful Presentations; Communication Strategies; Expanding the Meaning of Wellness; Best Practices - Planning Guidelines; Governance; Healthy Babies, Healthy Children; Y2K Compliance; Information Mapping and "Do Communities have Personas?"
For more information contact Niagara Enterprise Agency (conference planners) (888) 368-6683, Fax (905) 687-8022. Registration fees after Sep 30 - $329.
