Casual Public Health Nurses, Middlesex-London Health Unit

The Middlesex-London Health Unit is accepting applications for two temporary full-time casual Public Health Nurses to work on the Vaccine Preventable Disease Team within Oral Health, Communicable Disease, and Sexual Health Services. These assignments begin immediately and end in March and May 2014. These positions will work collaboratively with communities, groups, families and individuals to enable them to enhance their health and prevent disease, specifically working in the Health Unit immunization clinic, school based clinics, and community clinics.

Requirements for these positions include current CNO registration as a Registered Nurse and a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited nursing program. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as good computer skills. Preference will be given to those who have completed the Immunization Competency Education Program (www.advancingpractice.com) or equivalent certification, and have clinical immunization experience. Flexible work hours are required, as well as a valid driver’s licence and own transportation. The ability to speak French and other languages would also be considered an asset.
